A basic tip, listen to some music. I suggest music with no lyrics like Lofi or Classical music so it won’t distract you. If you’d like to listen to music with lyrics, it should be when studying a subject that doesn’t need as much focus, maybe it’s a simple English assignment. Not only music, you can use ‘white noises’. Listen to the sound of rain, campfires, wind, cafe’s, etc. You can find this on certain websites or just simply on youtube. A website you can use is called ‘Noisly’.Pretend you’re your favorite character studying. You can pretend you’re an investigator trying to solve a case, or you can pretend to be for example Hermione from Harry potter.
Have a study buddy. Do your work with a friend, or not if it distracts you. You can also have a stuffed animal to accompany you studying. Prepare yourself a cup of tea or another drink and snacks!
Search up and watch YouTube videos of people studying/doing something related to studying. This can help you be more motivated intto studying yourself/work on an assignment.Start on whatever you’re supposed to work on. Most times, starting is the most difficult part, but if you aren’t willing to continue working on an assignment 15 minutes after starting it, find something else you need to do.Working on an assignment doesn’t have to be researching for hours or making the end result look nice. It can be finding out some things you didn’t know about the topic before and writing it down.

Don’ts:Don’t overwork yourself. We often get stressed over assignments, but it’s not a reason to overwork ourselves and end up feeling more pressure than before.Don’t work for hours without having short breaks in-between. This could cause burnouts and cause our mind to lose focus. Don’t force yourself to work on or complete something. There is a difference between convincing yourself to do something that you’ve put to the side and forcing yourself to do an assignment despite being exhausted or burnt out.
