- Toussaint L'Ouverture was a leader of the Haitian Revolution. He was also a former slave who was successful with the slave revolt.
- Toussaint inspired many people to seek equality and more freedom.
- There was a war and former salves fought for their freedom and were successful.
- There was an agreement to end the Haitian war if the French decided to abolish slavery. Toussaint was blamed for trying to begin another war and was put into jail.
- Toussaint spent time in a dungeon and later was killed in his cell.
- The end
