- Kit Tyler goes to America. She is on the journey with as boy Nate Eaton. Nate is the son of the captain of the ship.Also, there is a Mrs. Eaton she talks to Kit a lot.
- After the 5 hard weeks at sea they finally arrive at Saybrook. She wasn't familiar with Saybrook's culture. On the other hand she was happy to be on land.
- Then after Kit and the rest of the crew pick up passengers to go to Werther's Field. One little gird drops her doll into the water. Then Kit dive into the water to go get it.
