LSD alters your brain’s serotonin, causing disruption and leading to changes in your mood and thoughts, along with how you perceive things, causing hallucinations. Many people also get an increased heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature from using LSD.

Plus, it can affect you by causing muscle tremors, dilation of pupils, nausea, headaches, confusion, vomiting, sweating, chills, or the other effects on the body systems that I talked about.

People on LSD also might behave paranoid, be unable to concentrate, and experience rapid mood swings from anywhere like pure euphoria to overwhelming terror and panic.
What struggles could someone on LSD face?
Someone on LSD might experience a loss of control over what is real and have a distorted sense of reality, could make dangerous decisions due to impaired judgement, and continue to struggle with fear and paranoia. This is often called a “bad trip,” and trips often last up to 12 hours.
