ק֥וּם וְיָרַדְתָּ֖ בֵּ֣ית הַיּוֹצֵ֑ר וְשָׁ֖מָּה אַשְׁמִיעֲךָ֥ אֶת־דְּבָרָֽי
ה׳ sent ירמיהו there to show that he is everywhere even in random places like a pottery house

ירמיהו went to the pottery house and saw that the potters vessel had spoiled. He didn't just get upset but he made it into a different vessel. Hashem uses this as an analogy saying הֲכַיּוֹצֵ֨ר הַזֶּ֜ה לֹא־אוּכַ֨ל לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת לָכֶ֛ם בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֑ה הִנֵּ֤ה כַחֹ֙מֶר֙ בְּיַ֣ד הַיּוֹצֵ֔ר כֵּן־אַתֶּ֥ם בְּיָדִ֖י בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל

ה׳ tells ירמיהו that he could decree that any nation or kingdom could be uprooted or destroyed. He says that he could also build and plant a nation to grow. He lets him know that if בנ י changes their ways than he could change his decree. ה׳ tells ירמיהו to tell B Y, כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר ה׳ הִנֵּ֨ה אָנֹכִ֜י יוֹצֵ֤ר עֲלֵיכֶם֙ רָעָ֔ה וְחֹשֵׁ֥ב עֲלֵיכֶ֖ם מַחֲשָׁבָ֑ה שׁ֣וּבוּ נָ֗א אִ֚ישׁ מִדַּרְכּ֣וֹ הָרָעָ֔ה וְהֵיטִ֥יבוּ דַרְכֵיכֶ֖ם וּמַעַלְלֵיכֶֽם
