“Tybalt, mercutio, the prince has banned fighting in the streets of Verona. Stop, tybalt. Stop, good mercutio.” (3.1.85)
This scene is important because it shows Mercutio and Tybalt arguing and then eventually getting into a fight. Then there’s Romeo trying to break up the fight between them before something bad will clearly happen.

In the play, this scene is important because it shows them mourning and grieving for who they lost. Though, Juliet automatically assumes that Romeo died, even though it was tybalt. Which shows the nurse grieving over tybalt.

This scene is important because Friar Lawrence is giving Romeo advice and to not worry about the situation as much and to focus in what’s happening right now.
