Life after the Industrial Revolution
Before the Industrial Revolution happened, Britain was an agricultural society. People worked on small rural farms, just enough to feed their locals. Those who worked on farms began work at sunrise and ended at sunset. At the time manufacturing was very small and localised, which was relatively by few people. The tools used at the time were basic which were powered by human, animals and waterwheels. Since people lived in rural areas roads were poor and most people had to travel by foot or by horse. Due to this many people seldom travelled far from their homes and grew up working where they lived.
