- santa anna didnt agree to seperate statehood from cohulia. when austin went to saltillo mexican officers searched his things and found a letter. the letter was about something he wanted to do to help but it was against the law.

- there were 58 delegates at san felipe. stephen f austin was elected president of the convention. there were 6 changes they made 1: texas should be a seperate mexican state of cohulia 2: andelo immagration be allowed from us again 3:exemption from import taxes 4:better education 5: more protection from indians 6: land titles to settlers living in east texas. stephen f austin,dr. james b miller,and erasmo seguin were chosen to carry out resolutions to mexico.

- centralists passed the law of april 6, 1830. they made 6 changes. 1: no immagration from us 2: no more slaves brought into texas 3: placed customs duty on all goods from us 4: cancelled unfifilled empersario contarcts 5: encouraged mexican and european immagration 6: established new forts to prevent smuggling and to enforce the new laws. most anglos feel that it was unfair and descriminating towards whites.

- mexican goverment wanted a cannon returned from the colonists at gonzales. known as the lexington of the revolution.first shots fired. proved the texans were willing to use millatary force against mexico.
- the battle of the alamo lasted 13 days. william b. travis lead the battle of the alamo for the texans. james bowie and davy crockett also assisted the battle of the alamo for the texans.
- the battle of san jacinto took place in april 21,1836. this was the final battle in the texas revolution. mexico was defeated in 18 minutes, more then 600 soilders died. they came to a treaty called 'the treaty of velasco' it was signed by santa ana and david burnett.
