The Korean War
The Bay of Pigs 
A terrorists attack lead by Al-Qaeda (a terrorists group) where commercial airplanes were flown into buildings in the U.S.
Cuban Missile Crisis
In 1950, North Korea invaded South Korea to make the whole country a communists country.. The U.S. got involved to make sure communism stayed in Asia. To stop the spread of communism.
World War 2
Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor
They had a  plan to  train Cuban exiles . The exiles planned that they would  invade Cuba and overthrow Castro. The U.S. was involved because the CIA wanted  overthrow  Castro's rule in Cuba.
Vietnam War
The soviet Union had nuclear weapons in Cuban. The  U.S. was involved to stop the placement of these nuclear weapons in Cuba.
The Nazi party attacked Poland and their allies Britain and France got involved. Italy and Japan were allies of Germany and the Nazi party. The U.S got involved because Japan set at attack on Pearl Harbor.
Some people in South Vietnam didn't believe in communism  but North Vietnam wanted the whole country to be communists. The U.S. got involved to help the South Vietnamese government and to stop the spread of communism in other countries.
