- We have 50, 100, 20 and 10 rands, We also have 1, 2, and 5 rands.
- Teacher Fifi then commands the learners to attempt the activity on their own, grouping the money according their same values. The learners take about 2 minutes to attempt grouping the money.
- Palesa group 50 rand and 50 rand together.

- Teacher Fifi then instructs the learners to give each other specific money to test whether they understand. The learners take about 1 minute to give each other money.
