Layers of the atmosphere

There are 5 layers of the atmosphere and they all play an important roll in keeping the Earth safe! Liza will tell you about the first one
The first layer is the troposphere. Its the lowest layer and the one we live in! It extends about 6.2 miles upwards and all weather happens here. Now Max will tell you about the next one...
The second layer of the atmosphere is the Stratsoshpere. Its about 31 miles high and gets hotter as get higher. The ozone layer is in the stratsophere, which helps block UV rays so we dont burn up down there! If your in the stratsosphere, you may see some hot air ballons of airplanes! They fly up here so they ccan ecape weather and lots of wind. Reina, take it away!
Next is the Mesosphere. This layer extends 53 miles above the surface and unlike the previous layer, the tempurature gets colder as you go higher. So, meteors burn up here! You got it Jazz.
The next layer is the thermosphere, and you might want to wear some shorts 'cause its hot! It the hottest layer and can range anywhere from 932- 3.632 degrees! The beautiful northern lights happen here!
The last layer is the exosphere. It reaches anywhere from 62,000 to 120,000 miles above the earths surface. The exosphere fades into space!
