Hey its me the apple.Today I 'm gonna lead on a journey trougb the digestive system.
First as you see here we are being eaten by the human boy Mouth.As he chews me ,Epiglotttis ensures that the Food is not entering my food pipe and then the saliva breaks me into smaller pieces.And makes a soft lump called bolus.. Chewing is the Mechanical Digestion.
Once in the stomach . Hormones tell the stomach walls to release acid that breaks down the bolus into a liquid called chyme.The hormones also alert the liver, gald blader and pancrease to start creating Bile.This is the Chemical Digestion
The Bolus then travels down a small thin tube, called Esophagus.The Esophagus muscular wall s squeeze the Bolus down to the stomach, our next destination.
From there I enter the Small Intestine. The Liver then sends Bile to the Gall Bladder. It absorbs the nutrients and sends left over Fibre and water to Large Intenstines.
I am now in the large intenstines and leftovers are again processed and Intestinal wall realease the water and a soft mass is formed called as Stool, Stool is stored in a small pouch near rectum antill I leave the body through anus .
The Entire process takes around 30 to 40 hrs
