- Yeah, honey. I know its hard but we will have a great Christmas this year. We will make the best of this.
- Mom, this does not feel right. Decorating are tree with out dad.
- I know, but we have to. Dad wont be home for Christmas this year we have to make it work. Plus every year is different in its own way!
- Martha the mom had 4 kids. She loved them very much. It was the day before Christmas Eve. Her husband was at war and would not be here for Christmas or a long time. So her mom helped out. The youngest hid was named pattie. The second youngest was name Nacy than the next was Bettie than the oldest was Sally.

- Mom, to tell the truth every second I just wanna cry. I am scared Shawn will not make it out. I try to fake it to the kids but its hard to hide my sadness.
- oh, darling I now its hard. Just try to remember everything happens for a reason. I can almost promise you he will be just fine. Remember all the good he is doing, helping our country. He loves you so much and he will always be in your heart.

- After years had paced there dad eventually had to go back to war. He died in the battle field. And although they still think of him every second they know he is in there heart. Sally, Bettie, Judy, and pattie had ground up. They spent each Christmas having fun and making memories thinking of there dad.
