- The children, Wendy and Peter, are mad at their parents for not letting them go somewhere they really wanted to go
- FALLING ACTION
- The Mother was concerned that their hi-tech nursery was changing for the worse and needed to have it looked at.
- RESOLUTION
- The kids begged to have one more chance to go back to the nursery before it was closed, the parents agreed.
- Once the parents got into the nursery to check on the kids, the kids locked the door behind them. The parents realized that the screams that they heard earlier in the story and the wallet and scarf with blood on it was actually theirs.
- The doctor arrived to find the children eating in the Veldt and when he asked where the parents were, they replied that they would be there directly.
