- What's that?
- It was the people of the US moving west after The Louisiana Purchase.
- It may sound like a good thing but with expanding came problems
- Oh. What were they?
- Right here, President James Polk acquired California and New Mexico from Mexico after defeating their army.
- Sooooo?
- He also got Oregon Territory.
- When people started to move west they pushed out all the natives.
- What natives?
- Well, Geronimo was a brave soldier native who was supportive of his lands
- His entire family was slaughtered and he was one of the last native fighting the US to remain in his territory. He was arrested an put in prison for 27 years.
