- The mother and children of this family have packed their bags and while the children are sleeping the mother calls one of her friends to try and arrange to run away.
- They quickly sneak out of the house at midnight while the father is asleep.
- They run through the night in the rain to quickly get to their friend's house before the father finds out they're gone.
- When they finally arrive at their friend's house they go inside where it is safe.
