- From the cement grizzly, Grover moaned, "Percy! Don't listen to her! I hesitated, fascinated by the reflection in the glass- the eyes that seemed to burn straight through the green tint, making my arms go weak. "You wouldn't harm an old woman, Percy," she crooned. "I know you wouldn't." I could see the reflection of her face now. Surely it wasn't really that ugly. The green swirls of the gazing ball must be distorting it, making it look worse. Medusa cackled, "Too late."
- Alex and Annabeth ran away from medusa. But Percy didn't run, he was trying to fight the ugly snake lady. Alex and Annabeth noticed, Percy wasn't with them. "where is Percy?" Alex asked. "uh-oh...he's still with medusa" Annabeth said
- "we need to save him" Annabeth said. "alright let's go" Alex said Alex and Annabeth got a car and Alex was driving . He went so fast Annabeth and Grover almost threw up. They hurryed up and ran over medusa with a car. medusa turned into stone by her own snakes.
