- .George and Lennie are sitting by a lake eating beans while they wait for the night to go to a job at a ranch.

- George said i can tend the rabbits
- George and Lennie are meeting a old guy named Candy and Candy is showing them around.
- Chapter 5
- I didn't mean to do it he was just too small
- Its ok lennie
- George and Lennie met a guy named Slim and Slim let Lennie have one of his pups.
- Chapter 6
- Crooks is sitting in his room when Lennie comes by. They're alone, because everyone else has gone off to Suzy's clean and comedic house of ill repute. Lennie immediately tells Crooks about the dream farm and how he's gonna tend the rabbits.
- Lennie accidently killed the puppy he had and Curley's wife walked in and was telling him it was ok but George told Lennie not to talk to Curley's wife
