- The little boy paused for a moment, then stepped between the blind man and the frail old lady, and took the two challengers by the hand.
- The race began, and the little boy walked slowly, ever so slowly, to and across the finish line. The audience was ecstatic and cheered and waved to the boy. The wise man smiled and nodded his head gently. The youngster felt proud and important.
- Boy: Old man, I don't understand, who are the crowd cheering for? Which of us three?Wise old man: Little boy, for this race you have won much more than in any race you have ever ran before and for this race, the crowd cheer not for any winner!.
