Black Women in STEM pt 2

Mom, I didn't get in, what am I going to do! I also applied to other colleges, I think I want to take the offer at Spelman College.
Sweetie, it's okay. I was in your position once, don't settle for less, go somewhere you belong not where they will treat you like a statistic, you belong at Spelman and they have a great biology program.
I just wanted to let you know that I will be attending Spelman College and I am disappointed with the treatment of black students at this school and wish y'all took our intellect and well being seriously. Thank you for your time.

Even though, I didnt get into John Hopkins because of the racial bias in the school system, I will be attending Spelman College, an institution that accepts me as a black woman and my intelligence. I will never give up and stop here. I will be at John Hopkins and any insitution because defeat doesn't define my greatness.
