- Hey girls, do y’all want to go to the rodeo?
- Yes!
- One day my parents made a decision, a simple yet innocent decision to take a trip to the Houston Rodeo.
- Dia: 3
- On the way there…..
- Mama are we there yet?
- Mama this taking too long.
- To 7 year old me, this day was about to be the best day ever because I heard that there were carnival rides, and animals.
- Dia: 4
- Y’all ready to ride some rides?
- Yes but I don't want to go on the Ferris wheel, it's too high.
- As my dad paid for our tickets, my mom asked us if we would like to go on carnival rides
- Dia: 5
- We went on some rides that I enjoyed....
- Again again that was fun !
- Dia: 6
- And avoided the ones that I was scared of.
- Dia: 7
- But overall ,we had so much fun and then….
- Dia: 8
- It became nighttime, and this night became a time that I would remember for the rest of my life.
- Let’s go see the show.

- When nighttime fell, we went into the NRG stadium to watch the shows and the finale concert.
- Or at least I THINK it was the finale concert
- Well at least I think the final concert.

- The events started with bareback riding, then bull riding, and kids mutton busting.
- Dia: 11
- Then there was tie-down roping, team roping, and women's barrel racing and then…

- The Final Concert.

- I started to fall asleep in my seat because it was past my bedtime.
- And then right as I was getting comfortable….

- Fireworks started to go off.
- Dia: 15
- Then I woke up in a panic.
- What’s wrong?

- Not only was I panicking but I was getting laughed at by my own father.
- Ahhh she scared.
- Chris stop.
- I wanna go home.

- Come on let’s go.
- What did I do?
- Where you going?

- After that day, I’ve been scared of anything that makes loud noises when they pop
- Including balloons
- Confetti cannons
- Guns
- Dia: 19
- And champagne bottles
- Big bubble wrap
- And most of all….

- Fireworks
