Three strange omens are observed by Casca; fire burning out the sky, a lion at the Capitol, and a storm. Casca takes this as a sign from the gods that Caesar's crowing will be bad for Rome.

This scene represents when Cassius vows to commit suicide before becoming a subject of Caesar’s. Since Cassius is willing to commit his own life, he would most likely not care about Caesar's.

Caesar, beware of Brutus. Be careful of Cassius. Don't go near Casca. Look out for Cinna. Don't trust Trebonius. Watch out for Metellus Cimber. Decius Brutus is not a friend to you. You have wronged Caius Ligarius. All these men are of one mind, and it is turned against you. If you're not immortal, watch out. Overconfidence leads the way to conspiracy. Calphurnia has a dream about Caesar's statue overflowing with blood and Romans washing their hands in it. She interprets the dream as Caesar dying soon.
Brutus along with other conspirators create a plan to murder Caesar, but they see it as a favor they are doing for Rome. This is because they think Caesar is unworthy of being king of Rome.
