  • Back in the day...There was a Planet Called Earth
  • And the Earth, which is made up of multiple layers
  • I wish I knew more about what was beneath the surface...
  • Today, kids are wanting to know more about what's beneath the surface of Earth.
  • Kelly, here is what you need to know!
  • First of all, There are multiple layers that basically compose of the Earth.
  • Just another quick fact a little more than 47% of the crust consist of Oxygen
  • The Crust occupies less than 1% of the Earth's Volume
  • The Crust is the first layer, composed of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks.
  • Next, is the Mantle. It is the thickest layer of the Earth extending down 2,890km. It makes up about 84% of mostly studied when it comes to seismology.
  • What's the next layer Uncle?
  • The outer core on the other hand, is actually more hot than the inner core, calculating at possible 10800 degrees fahrenheit. It is the site for vicious convection currents also.
  • The final layer is the core, but there are two layers within the outer core itself: The inner core is EXTREMELY hot calculating at 9800 degrees fahrenheit with guesses that the inner core is growing at a slow steady pace
  • Thank you for explaining Uncle.
  • No Problem.
  • Thanks to that Uncle. I now know the basics of the layers that make up the Earth.Thank you Uncle!.
  • THE END.
