- Tom Walker and his wife fight all the time and people don't want to be married because of them. Where they live is a very sad place.
- There is a spooky forest that Tom is going through to take a short cut home. He found an Indian tomahawk buried.
- Tom met a tree and he trusted the devil who was the tree. Toms wife was very greedy and told Tom to sell his soul to the devil so she could be rich. He doesn't because she wanted him to.
- Toms wife went to the devil and sold her soul. Tom wasn't very sad when she died.
- Tom went to the devil after his wife died and he made a deal with him that he would work for him.
- Tom got captured by the devil and he haunts the forest every night.
