  • I am hurt. A plague o' both houses! I am sped. Is he gone and hath nothing?
  • I thought all for the best.

  • O, find him!
  • Hie to your chamber. I’ll find RomeoTo comfort you. I wot well where he is.Hark you, your Romeo will be here at night.I’ll to him. He is hid at Lawrence’ cell.
  • Act 3, Scene 3
  • O deadly sin, O rude unthankfulness!Thy fault our law calls death, but the kind prince,Taking thy part, hath rushed aside the lawAnd turned that black word “death” to“banishment.”
  • Ha, banishment? Be merciful, say “death,”For exile hath more terror in his look,Much more than death.
  • Tybalt tries to engage in a fight with Romeo, but Romeo refuses, and Mercutio decides to confront him instead. While Romeo tries to break up the fight between the two, Tybalt stabs Mercutio and he dies. Furious by Mercutio's death, Romeo seeks revenge on Tybalt and ends up killing him.
  • Act 3, Scene 4
  • O’ Thursday let it be.—O’ Thursday, tell her,She shall be married to this noble earl...But what say you to Thursday?
  • My lord, I would that Thursday were tomorrow.
  • The Nurse tells Juliet that Tybalt was killed by Romeo and as a result, he is to be exiled. Juliet is so upset by the news that the Nurse promises to bring Romeo to her so that they can spend one last night together.
  • Act 3, Scene 5
  • Hang thee, young baggage, disobedient wretch!I tell thee what: get thee to church o’ Thursday,Or never after look me in the face.
  • Romeo discovers that he is to be banished for killing Tybalt, but says that he would rather die. Friar Lawrence tries to help him rationalize the situation. He attempts to commit suicide when the Nurse says how upset Juliet is because of his banishment, but is then allowed to spend the night with Juliet and leave for banishment in the morning.
  • Capulet and Paris arrange plans for Paris to be married to Juliet on Thursday, which is three days away.
  • Romeo and Juliet say goodbye to each other in the morning. Soon after, Lady Capulet announces to Juliet that she will be marrying Paris. Juliet refuses, and this enrages her father, so much so that he threatens to disown her and kick her out to the streets.
  • Good father, I beseech you on my knees,Hear me with patience but to speak a word.
