- Marie Van Brittan Brown invented home security.She was an African American inventor and was at the age of 44 she invented the home security.
- Later on in her life she met her soon to be husband and then got married age unknown and later on have to kids.
- Marie Van Brittan was born in Jamaica, Queens, New York year 1922 and died the year 1999 at age 76.She graduated from the schools Harrision college, university of phoenix, and DeVry University.
- Her invention had a 250 parts to see the people outside and to talk to the person.She invented home security because she lived in queens and at the time it was a place where there was a lot of crime being committed.
