  • The Goddess Mawu's sons started fighting and wanted to live apart to rule the world.
  • Mawu told her sons that Sabata would rule the earth and Sobogo would rule the upper universe.
  • Sabata went to rule the Earth. He left water and fire behind and he told all the riches with him so Sogbo wouldn't have any money.
  • Sogbo went to rule the universe.
  • Sogbo decided the earth would never get any rain and would be very dry.
  • Sagbata asked the sky beings how to get rain since Sogbo had all water. The sky beings told Sagbata he would have to share his money with Sogbo.
  • Sogbo agreed to give Sagbata water and Sagbata agreed to give Sogbo half his money. The brothers both learned that having all the money does not make you a good ruler and money does not solve everything.
  • The boys learned how to share and learned that money is not everything and ruled the universe and the earth forever.
