Storyboard Beschrijving

Blade was born into the famous and rich life from his father, Rutherford Morrison. His father was a washed up rock star and drug addict. Blade would give anything to not be in the family of this old time rock star and the family known of the most failure. The one bright light in his life is his girlfriend Chapel who's parents will never allow them to have a relationship due to how Blade's father turned out. They believe Blade will turn out the same way. One trip to Ghana could change Blade's life to hopefully live freely and to be with the love of his life, Chapel.

  • Exposition: As Blade is being haunted by memories or his mother and the terrible legacy of his washed-up rock star father, Blade's only hope is in his music and his forbidden love for his girlfriend.
  • "I am the wretched son of a poor rich man. I do not hate my life. My life is. Hmmm, inconvenient. But if it weren't for Chapel."
  • "My family stands for too much and not enough. Too much celebrity not enough dignity. Too much excess not enough kindness. too much yes. Not enough no to drugs to crude behavior to breaking the law to rock and roll."
  • Rising Action: Blade starts to realize not everybody is being completely honest with him. With no help from his father who is to in to his old rock and roll career and helpless drugs to even notice blade's soon to be discovery."
  • Climax: Blade discovers a horrific family secret. A secret that leaves him questioning his relationship with his family and his own identity. Blade decides he needs to figure out his past by figuring out his future. This leads him to a trip to Ghana.
  • "It feels like countless mirrors crashing around me in an empty space where there's no way in and no way out."
  • "Sitting next to me thirty-thousand feet over the Atlantic on a ten-hour flight to Ghana to hopefully find my mother is my mother?"
  • Falling Action: Blade travels to Ghana by himself to find out the truth of the family secret and hopes to find his mother. His journey takes him very far from home where he has to experience new language, food, and even music.
  • Resolution: Blade's trip to Ghana expresses to him the importance of music in his life, his relationship with his father, and the new friendships he made. Blade figured out everything and got everything he ever wanted.
  • "He hugs me, and, for once, it feels good to hug him back."
