- The Hajj is the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the holiest city for Muslims. It takes place in the last month of the year. Hajj is a mandatory religious duty for Muslims that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime if they are physically able.
- A kufi or kufi cap is a brimless, short, and rounded cap worn by men in many populations in North Africa, East Africa, Western Africa, and South Asia as a sign of peace, mourning, renewal, or protection of the mind.

It has 114 sections called suras; the first sura is said as part of the ritual prayer. The Qu'ran is recited in its original Arabic by Muslims all over the world.
