- Here Ralph and Piggy find a conch. This conch is the first sign of authority on this island therefore making it a very important moment.
- This is important because it is the first time we see the choir boys. They are described as angels but later on are as demonic and evil.
- This is an important part of the story because Ralph breaks the first rule the tribe/kids ever had on that island.

- This is the part of the novel where Simon finds out that the beast was a dead man
- In this part of the novel, Ralph and Jack explore a cave. Jack sees it as a castle but Ralph sees it as moldy and dirty.
- This part of the novel depicts how Jack and the other group of kids are about to kill Ralph.
