- Nooria taking scissors to cut Parvana's hair but Parvana was too scared to, and didn't want to turn into a boy either way.

- Parvana finally looking like a boy, and changing into her dead's brother's clothes that had finally been to use, but the mother was tearing up because she was missing 'Hossain'.
- Parvana's little sister noticing it is Parvana and laughing at her, Nooria telling Parvana cruel things to make her feel bad, Mrs. Weera liking the 'new look', Mother starting to cry because Parvana reminds her of her dead brother Hossain.
