- Hello my name is Rothra and I am seventeen years old.
- I live in Denmarkwith my Dad, Mum and sister.
- Last week, I set off for my first ever battle to conquer England. My crew and I wanted to find a warmer country for farming.We travelled on a newly built longboat.
- I am going to tell you my story about my adventurous journey to a country called England...
- I collected my heavy, shining, metal armour from my house as well as my brand new axe, shield and sword. I made my way nervously to the longboat with my fellow Danish warriors.
- Our brave army of wooden longboats sailed across the rough, cold, windy North Sea towards the English pebbly shores. 32 men on each longboat sang mighty war songs as we sailed the fearsome sea.
