Storyboard Tekst

  • The Government allowed only limited public transportation services to ensure health protocols such as social distancing among bus, trains, taxis, and UV express and others.
  • I have no private vehicle. How can I go to work?
  • NO Back-Riding
  • I feel you, Bea. If I won't go to work, my family will have nothing to eat. I need to sacrifice for them. I have to find out an alternative to reach our office everyday.
  • Streets are crowded, as commuters wait on queue for a ride.
  • Covid19
  • LRT
  • Implementation of the Availability of Bike Lanes
  • The Labor and Trade Department said that employers should provide a shuttle for their workers, otherwise they can't force an employee to go to work.
  • It is disappointing that our employers couldn't provide us for a shuttle service. Commuting is my only mode of travelling.
  • I am troubled. Our Company couldn't provide a shuttle bus because of its costs.
  • Pasakay po
  • Commuters have started to shift to alternative modes of active transportation. (Biking, Walking)
  • I walk everyday for 2 hours from home to work, so that my family has something to eat. If I wait to ride a PUV, it will take me long and I'm afraid I might get infected.
  • I am forced to loan a bike because this is the only option. My husband has a motorcycle but back-riding is banned, I cannot afford to walk. This is so tiring.
  • I am late!!
  • JEEP!!
  • LRT
  • I normally leave an hour before 8am. But during this pandemic, I have to leave 4 hours ahead of time just to find a ride.
  • There are long queues in LRT and at the sidewalks. A lot of people are waiting for jeep and bus rides. As I've seen, social distancing is not practiced. I am more scared to take public vehicles. There is a greater chance of transmission of virus.
  • We should work together to make more bike lanes along roads so people can use bikes while transportation remains limited during earned restrictions.
  • We, as local government, should make sure that non-motorized travel modes will be safe and convenient for the people.
  • EDSA
  • Shift to Service Contract Agreements between Transport Operators and Department of Transportation
  • Contracts with operators can also include obligations (e.g. observing prescribed schedules, reducing emissions, utilizing cashless fare collection systems, adopting social distancing protocols) and incorporate incentives/penalties to enhance standards and curb on-the-road competition.
  • In this new arrangement, transport operators will be contracted to deliver services on a “fee per day” or “fee per kilometer” basis with government, while drivers will be employed under a fixed daily wage by operators.
