Hiii class! So today we'll be discussing how to multiply, add, and subtract fractions. Lets get started!

I'll be explaing how to multiply fractions together. When you multiply fractionsthe denominator doesn't have to be the same, you can just multiply the numerators together then the denominators
2/6 x 3/6= 6/12. You can leave the fractions like that if there isnt a number that go into both the numerator and the denominator, but since there is for this question you have to simplify the fractions by dividing them by the gcf
6/12 divided by 6+ 1/2. Another way you can multiply fractions is by simplifying it by dividing the denominator and numerator by their gcf.
First step you need to do is find the lowest common multiple of the denominators. After you find the lowest common multiple for 9 and 3 which is 9
To get to 9 you multiply by 1. To get to 9 from 3 you multiply by 3. Then you multiply the numerators. You then subtract the new numerators together but the denominators stay the same. Then you have your answer
I will be teaching you guys how to multiply fractions with different denominator. So first you have to find the lowest common multiple of 6 and 12, ad that would be 12. T
Then whatever you multiplied by to get your lowest common denominator, you multiply by the numerator for both sides, so 6 to get to 12 you multiplied by 2 so you multiply 3 by 2 which would be 6. and you multiplied 12 by 1 to get to 12 so you multiply 1 by 5 which is 5
And thats how you add, subtract, and multiply fractions. We hope you enjoyed!
