CLIMAX
When Jing-Mei looks in the mirror she realizes that she isn´t herself. She is not the person she wants to be. She is being controlled by her mother. She is being the person her mother wants her to be. Jing-Mei sees the prodigy side of her, an angry powerful girl.
FALLING ACTION
As Jing-Mei was playing the piano at the show, she hit a wrong note. One after another she kept hitting the wrong notes. She looked up to the crowd and looked at her mother.She looked at her mothers disappointed face.
RESOLUTION
As Jing-Mei and her mother are agruing, Jing-Mei states that she wishes she was dead like them. Refering to the family her mother lost in the Chinese war.
As the days go by Jing-Mei and her mother have not spoken to each other. Jing-Mei regretted what she had said to her mother.
As Jing-Mei sent a tuner over to her parent´s to get things in order after her mothers death. Sh had the piano reconditioned, and decided to play. After playing two songs she realized, that they were two halves of the same song. She realized her mother and her wanted the same thing. They both wanted her to succeed.
