The majestic Hamipals live on an island with the only separation being a river with a shallow area that can easily be passed through.
One evening, the part of the river that the Hamipals can cross becomes blocked by boulders. This separates the two areas until the boulders are removed.
The Hamipals stuck on the left side were met with big and nutritious leaves on tall trees.Over generations, they grew bigger to reach the leaves and grew less horns so the didn't get stuck while eating.
The Hamipals stuck on the right side are in some plains with plentiful grass, one of their food sources, and their natural predator, brears.Over generations, they grew smaller to help sustain their new diet and had more horns to fend off themselves from the brears. These Hamipals affectively turned into a new species, now known as Helapals.
After some time, the boulders clear out, which reunites the two halves of the island.
The Hamipals have a mating ritual that involves spinning in circles rapidly. The Helapals spin in fast, circular motions, while the Hamipals spin in a slower, more oval-y shape to avoid getting hit by trees. Now, they don't mate with each other and are now considered different species.
