Because of this, we need all the flat land we can get. Some of our farmers have to carve large, flat steps into hills, which is where I am right now. Most farmers grew plants that did not require much land, like these olive trees and grapevines behind me. Many planted fruit and nut trees. We raise sheep and goats, that can graze on the sides of hills and mountains.

To supply my community, Athens, with more food, I started this colony. First, I sought an oracle to ask the gods if I would be successful - luckily it was a yes! Next, I gathered up important supplies and took a flame from Athens's fire. Afterwards, I sailed away to begin my voyage, ready to take on the challenges. Finally, I found a reasonable place and started my colony - one that was peaceful, had productive farmland, and naturally made harbors.
To get even more useful goods, I trade with other Greek communities - this apple was one of many that was traded for pottery. Most merchants carry their goods on wooden ships with enough space to hold goods. Journeys could take a while due to their extremely slow speed... anyways, navigating ships is even HARDER ... merchants have to use purely the stars to show them where to go. Merchants also have no idea what kind of danger lurks up ahead... they get no warnings whatsoever.
