- The duke of Athens is to be married to the queen of the amazons two men, Lysander and Demetrius, meet a woman named Hermia. They both love her but Hermia only loves Lysander however Hermia's father only gives her permission to marry Demetrius. Hermia has to obey her fathers choice of whom she marries due to the law.
- Hermia and Lysander ran away into the forest so they could be free from the law of Athens so they could be together. Before she did run away she told her best friend Helena, who is in love with Demetrius. Helena then goes to Demetrius to tell what has happened to gain some favor from Demetrius. Demetrius was furious and ran into the woods. Helena followed behind him and they all ended up in the forest.
- A fairy called Puck tries to solve their love problem and accidentally makes Lysander fall in love with Helena using a love flower. While trying to fix his mistake Puck accidentally makes Demetrius fall in love with Helena as well. Now no one loves Hermia and she is upset with Lysander and Demetrius.
- With Helena being fought over by Lysander and Demetrius, Hermia is mad at Helena. Puck then manages to separate them all so they don't end up killing each other over each other. Puck then reverses the spell after they all had fallen asleep.
- The Duke spots the four while riding in the forest. He is then confused after hearing their story of what happened and them to all be married during his wedding ceremony.
- In the end everyone is married and they watch the show Pyramus and Thisbe.
