This cartoon represents the Tu Quoque fallacy, in which someone's advice is seen as less valuable because they do not follow their own advice. Basically, the fallacy shows an example of hypocrisy. Specific to the cartoon, the doctor advises the man not to eat candy, to stay healthy, as it can be compared to poison. However, the doctor, herself, has loads of candy on her desk and in her back pocket, noticed by the man on the bed, which goes completely against her statements. To emphasize the hypocrisy, the caption notes that the doctor wants the patient to treat their body how she tells him to, but to make sure not to follow the doctor's act of having loads of candy in her office. Overall, the doctor's claims are flawed because of her inability to follow them herself, as seen by the candy on her own desk and in her own back pocket.
