- At the beginning, Montresor is trying to convince Fortunato that he has some wine that is rare and he isn't sure if it's the real thing.

- CONFLICT
- Where is the Amontillado?
- I must punish with impunity.
- Montresor wants to punish Fortunato for the "insult". He must get him intoxicated to trick him.
- Slajd: 3
- RISING ACTION
- You a Mason? Impossible!
- I am a Mason.
- Montresor lures Fortunato down into the vaults, all the while promising him the Amontillado.
- Slajd: 4
- CLIMAX
- Yes. For the love of God!
- For the Love of God, Fortunato!
- Montresor chains up Fortunato to the wall. This is done so very easily because of Fortunato's drunken state.
- Slajd: 5
- FALLING ACTION
- Is it not getting late?
- My heart grew sick... On the account of the dampness from the catacombs.
- Fortunato is chained to the wall and as Montresor finishes his work, he begins s to feel a little guilty for killing his "friend."
- Slajd: 6
- RESOLUTION
- In pace requiescat!
- FORTUNADO
- For more than a half a century nobody has disturbed the bones.
