The scenes I created from my novel "Speak" all hold the same if not similar characteristics as Melinda is progressively getting and feeling more and more alone and depressed

- Skipping School, So What?
- The Fight With The Principal
- Lover
- This scene is important to the story line and build up because it shows how careless Melinda is becoming in this part of the novel. During this certain part Melinda misses the school bus one day so, she proceeds to skip school. Shortly after this became a regular occurance.
- Feeling Alone
- In this scene Melinda and her parents had a meeting with the school principal as she has been caught for skipping school. During the conversation Melinda's parents started fighting which left things very awkward for Melinda and the principal. This scene is important to the storyline as it is building up towards the climax.
- Biology Mishap
- While opening her locker Melinda notices a  mysterious love note fall, she begins to wonder who it was from and looked around to see if anyone was pranking her. This scene is particularly important as it marks a potential love for Melinda which leaves the question, who sent it?
- Heather VS Mel
- This scene was one of the most importants, it shows how alone and depressed she is after so many things building up that she felt her only option or way out was to end her own life so, one night she went into her closet and tried.
- In this scene Melinda was expected to disect a frog but ended very badly for Mel. She got very uneasy from having to cut into the corps of the frog and later fainted and hit her head on the table, leading to her needing stiches. 
- This scene is very important to the story plot as its building and breaking relationships in the novel which is important to character building. In this Heather began to try and argue with Melinda for being a bad friend and being weird which left Mel feeling even more alone and depressed.
