- Due to the possibility of the Mexican government losing control of Texas, they banned further US immigrants from migrating to Texas.

- Stephen F. Austin gets imprisoned for a suspicion that he was involved in inciting insurrection.
- Texans refused to return a cannon loaned to them by Mexico, the start of a war
