- So much rocks coming down from the celling.
- It's so dark in here!

- I found this rock marked wit an E, so lets go look. I also have keys to the pipworks.
- The Supply Room
- Of course he was! i'm glad we figured it out
- Looper has been making the secret deliveries.

- This scene is in chapter 18,Where The River Goes,The boat streaks into the tunnel, plunging Lina, Doon, and Poppy into complete darkness.The river is rough, so Doon and Lina roll into each other. Lina closes her eyes and clings to Poppy. Eventually, the boat moves into a huge room with columns of rock coming out of the water and down from the ceiling.
- Going To The River
- This scene is in chapter 14, The Way Out, when Doon and Lina find a rock marked with E. and he says that they should go look and he has the keys to the pipeworks.
- Bad Luck

- This scene is in chapter 12, A Dreadful Discovery, when Doon went into the room that he found and saw the Mayor sleeping with a big pile of supplies the city needed in the center of the room. He and Lina figured out that Looper was making secret deliveries threw a latch in the ceiling.
- A Trip
- This scene is in chapter 17, Away,when Doon leaves the school and is on the way to the river when the lights go out. He lights one of the candles which provides enough light to help him find his way to the door of the Pipeworks.Doon is torn, wanting to save Lina but knowing there's nothing he can do if the guards caught her.
- How am i supposed to help Lina? Theres nothing i could do
- This scene is in chapter 15,A Desperate Run, where Doon and Lina finish their exploring in the river room and go home to get ready. While Doon was packing, he over heard 2 guards looking for him to arrest him because of the awful lies he and Lina said about the mayor.

- This scene is in chapter 20, The Last Message,The notebook talked about a bunch of people, mainly old people and babies, going down to Ember. After they read the book, they saw a dog with a plum in his mouth. They got so exited, and then found a tree with plums in it. After a while, they found some kind of cave.
