- A greenbelt is a ring or block of land within a city thats objective is to preserve natural plants and habitats in the form of parks and agriculture to minimize urban sprawl. The image above depicts all of the elements of a greenbelt, including plants, animals, and the natural ecology.
- Rural
- The central business district, also known as the CBD, is a commercialized section of a city where major corporations, businesses, retail stores, and offices are located. The CBD of a city is clustered with offices, services, cars, and a dense population, as shown in the illustration above.
- Suburb
- Gentrification is the process of changing an impoverished, lower class neighborhood to a prosperous urban area for newer residents and businesses to move into. The image above demonstrates the process of change from a poor urbanized area to a more opulent type of environment.
- Tenements
- A rural area is something that is located far from any larger cities or towns, in the countryside. In these locations, isolated fields for farming, agriculture, and livestock are common. This is represented in the image above as an agricultural area in the countryside with livestock and crops.
- A suburb is an area on the outskirts of a city that includes commercial and business centers but is predominantly a residential district.
