- In the beginning they were sitting around the fireplace. Mr and Mrs white were talking to Herbert white about his day. It’s was a very calm setting. Just a simple family having supper.
- Falling action
- Sargent Morris showed up to their door and they invited him in. He was telling stories about the monkeys paw. Mrs white didn’t believe him but mr white did. Herbert thought it was fake. Mr white then said “if this is true then I wish for 200 pounds.”
- Resolution

- That next morning Herbert went to work and the whites relaxed. Then one of Herbert’s coworkers came by and then said “ your son was caught in a price of machinery” Immideilty Mrs white fainted, mr white was handed 200 pounds. They then went to the funeral.
- Falling action was when Mrs white was demanding for the monkeys paw. Mr white said “ I can only recognize him from his clothes”. So he finally granted her wish then an hour or so in the night you could hear knocks at the door.
- When Mrs white hears the knocks she starts running downstairs. tries to open the door and yells “I’m coming Herbert I’m coming!”Mr white runs down the stairs and immediately tries looking for the monkeys paw.mrs white opens the door opens the door but before she does that. Mr white finally finds the monkeys paw and us use his final wish. The consequence of that wishes death to the whole family.
- The superstition was that the monkeys paw would grant them three wishes.
