- "Sire, it's time to get up."
- After waking up, the First Doctor and Surgeon would do a check-up on him. Following that would be the first getting-up ceremony. Only certain people could go to his room while he was getting washed, combed, and shaved. Then, the officers of his clothing came and the King was dressed and ate breakfast.

- I got so many written notes this time around. I'll read them when I get a chnace.
- Sire, mass will last half an hour.
- There was a procession formed in the "Hall of Mirrors" at the exit of the King's apartments. A crowd always gathered to see the King. Some briefly spoke to him others could give him a written note. After that, he sat in the tribune in the Royal Chapel for mass.

- Louis would return to his apartment and would hold council in his chamber. At this time the king could examine work projects, talk to his ministers, and make final decisions.
