- One day a Satyr came to King Midas's palace and was welcomed in.
- The Satyr was very happy because of Midas's hospitality and Dionysus decided to grant Midas a wish.
- Midas wished that everything he touched would turn into gold. Dionysus granted the wish and left.
- However, his wish turned against him. He could not eat or drink as everything he touched turned to gold.
- King Midas was so sad and begged the Satyr's master Dionysus to remove the wish. Dionysus told Midas what to do.
- Midas was asked to wash it away in the River Pactolus.
