- Okay class, please put your math sheets down on your desk as I come to collect them.

- Jack started to do a bit of his math homework, but then he got bored, stopped, and started playing games with his friend, Mike, on his iPad. Soon after, his mom came in and said, “Are you done with your homework?”“I’m taking a quick break,” Jack responded, as he almost began to sweat a waterfall.“Okay, just make sure you finish it before you go to bed,” Mom said as she closed the door. Jack breathed a sigh of relief. After some time, he went to sleep.
- I've got homework though.
- Come play Foursquares.
- The next morning, Jack woke up with his homework not completed. Knowing that his parents would be angry if they were to see his unfinished homework, Jack, quick as a Cheetah, pounced out of bed and put his homework in his backpack, before his mom came to wake him. “Jack, you woke up early, are you alright?” Jack’s mom asked.“Yeah mom, I’m alright, I just had trouble sleeping,”#160;“Why” mom questioned.“Just some bad dreams,”“Okay, well breakfast is ready downstairs.” Mom told Jack.“Thanks,” Jack said. Soon, after eating, he left the house to get on the bus.
- Jack, please stay after class.
- Jack entered the classroom where Mrs. Wilkens asked for everyone to put their math sheets on their desks as she went around to collect them. As she collected the sheets, she saw that Jack’s sheet was incomplete. “Jack, why is your sheet almost empty?” “I just forgot to do my work,” Jack said. “Okay, I’ll help you with the work at recess,” Ms. Wilkens said. “Alright,” Jack replied.
- Jack, could you please tell me why you didn’t hand in your homework.
- I’m sorry, but I didn’t finish my homework on purpose last night.
- When the bell rang, the students went to the playground. Mike told Jack to come and join him for a game of foursquares. But, Jack said, “I’ve got homework though.” “Oh, just do it later, let's play,” said Mike. “Alright, let's play,” he said while bouncing the ball.
- Jack entered the classroom where Mrs. Wilkens asked for everyone to put their math sheets on their desks as she went around to collect them. - When everyone left, Mrs. Wilkens started talking. “Jack, could you please tell me why you didn’t hand in your homework?” As his cheeks became red as roses, Jack answered, “I’m sorry, but I didn’t do my homework.” “Why?” “I just didn’t want to do any work, so I lied to my parents to get out of it.” “Well you should tell your parents what you did, maybe if you tell them they’ll be less mad,” Mrs. Wilkens said. “Alright, I’ll tell them.” Jack said.
