Hi! I'm a Homo Sapien. We live in caves or tent like structures, like the one behind me.
We live in temporary shelters because we are always on the move to find new food.
Hi! I'm a modern human. And I live in one permanent structure.
It's nice to not have to constantly be on the move. And be safe and secure in one permanent structure.
Our homes are made from mud bricks and tree branches and stones.
Our home gives us protection from harsh weather and wild animals. It also allows us to form larger communities and makes life very comfortable.
Hunting and gathering didn't provide a very stable or dependable food supply.
We are hunters and gatherers.
We wander from place to place, looking for plants and animals to gather for food.
We now rely on farming for our food.
We also settle down in one place to live instead of roaming around in search of things to eat.
Over time, people discovered they didn't have to depend on hunting and gathering. Instead of gathering wild plants, they could plant seeds and harvest crops.
We raise sheep, goats and cattle for meat. We also use our mules to carry heavy loads and pull plows.
