first the basic. The numbers of the form p/q where q not equal to 0 are known as rational numbers . They contain Whole numbers , Integers ,Fractions and decimals eg : -1/2 , -3/1 , -3/-3

Rational Numbers are as positive , zero or negative rational numbers , When numerator and denominator are both negative or positive integers they are positive and when they are positive and negative its a negative rational number . eg for positive are : 1/2 , -1/-3 , -2/-1 etc .. eg for negative are -1 / 2 , -2 /1 ,2 /-1.etc ..

To multiply Rational Numbers you must : Multiply the numerator with numerator and denominator with Denominator after that you must simplify the fractions . For Division you must Do the reciprocal that is flip the Fraction and use the multiplication rule
